Well, we've had thunderstorms and power outages AGAIN. Every time we get the power outages, my computer doesn't want to boot. What I've been having to do is disconnect the power cord to even GET my computer to boot. Sigh...
I will later this week, start giving my views, reviews and opinions of the sites I use. I know I'm just a small time marketer, but maybe my insights will help others.

Mystery Shopping
Yes, I am a mystery shopper. Where, exactly, I can't say, but I can tell you I do grocery stores, gas stations, fast food, pet stores, and many other things.
The first thing I want to make sure everyone understands.... YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO PAY TO BE A MYSTERY SHOPPER!
I know there are a lot of programs out there to start mystery shopping. DON'T buy them! You don't need it! The ONLY thing that you should ever have to pay for is: the items for your shop and if you want to become MSPA certified (more on that in a sec).
I got lucky and stumbled onto Shadowshopper.com. You can join for FREE...yes, they have upgraded options, but you don't have to unless you want to. Shadowshopper has a list of employers (mystery shopper companies) and they'll also send you updates and info on jobs available.
The mystery shopper companies I work for are:
Gfk sends money by Paypal.
QAMS and Bestmark send checks.
There are MANY other mystery shopper companies out there. These are just a few. But remember, you NEVER should pay to become a mystery shopper.
I said I'd talk about this... MSPA, this means Mystery Shopping Providers Association. To be certified with them is of two levels, silver and gold. The prices for this is from $75-$200. Now, why would you want to spend money on this? Several reasons:
Now, don't expect when you first start off, that you are going to get the big jobs. As with anything else, you need to take the easy and lower paying ones first. Here's why, you need to prove to your mystery shopper companies that you CAN do the job and do it fast and accurately. You will NOT be an employee of any of these companies, you will be an Independant Contractor. That means, that you are responsible for all of your taxes.
NO, I'm not MSPA certified and I don't make a lot of money at this. BUT, if I'm going to go get gas, for example, why not get paid for at least part of it? I can just imagine what you can earn if you ARE certified. Cruises, banks infos, lots of other things.
If you like "role-playing" (like acting) then, mystery shopping will be easy for you. If anyone wants more detailed info, leave a comment and I'll add info!
Remember, you should NEVER pay to be a mystery shopper!

The mystery shopper companies I work for are:
- Trendsource, www.msishopper.net They are by far, my favorite. They pay about 2 weeks after the shop is done.
- Shop N Chek , www.shopnchekshopper.com They are also very good, pays a month later.
- GfK, www.cybershoppersonline.com This is the first company I started with, very detailed on instructions and they have an 800 for help (for your shop).
- QAMS, www.qams.com I've only started working with this company in the past two months, but they also pay fast.
- Bestmark, www.bestmark.com They pay a month later.

- If you are in Nevada, you have to register with them and you have to get a P.I.'s license.
- Some companies ONLY take MSPA certified people
- You get the higher paying jobs.

Work at home
Well, my little niche doesn't produce a lot of income, but I'm still learning. A great e-book for learning what you need to know and WHY you need to know is Tracker Mo's Bootcamp.
Now why would I recommend this? For anyone that's just starting on the Internet and doesn't know what all the acronyms mean, this will explain it. For those that wonder why the advertising they are doing ISN'T producing results, this may help explain it. I've been in marketing for years, but never really had a good income from it. Tracker Mo's e-book explained WHY.
All the things I'm doing on line are to help me build my business with JD Premium Products. Why, do you ask? I happen to think that they have the friendliest staff, great support and wonderful products. The first month I got my product (which was buffalo jerky...yum!), I got THREE pieces out of two bags! My family ate the rest of it in less than 24 hours! To me, if you can USE the product you are affiliated with, then its a good product!
For me, my family and I love the jerky...and you can't get tired of it! I mean, really, 29 flavors! For us, we prefer the buffalo jerky (its hard to find!), so that's what we get.
One great thing about JD Premium Products, regardless of the amount of your commissions, you get paid. In fact, I have my check sitting right here in front of me. They also DON'T charge you a fee for the check as other companies do...so you get ALL of you commissions.
To me, this is a business that can go anywhere. Get some jerky and have people try it. If they like it, they can sign up under you. What can be easier? I really do prefer having delivered to my house and not having to go out and buy at the store.
The next in line is Leisure Audio Books. Its free to join and they have all kinds of audio books for your computer, your ipod, your MP3 player, even your Ipod phone! I'm still learning about this, but from everything I can see, they have everything to help you succeed. You can make money by having others sign up under you AND you can make money when people download the audio books. Simple and elegant.
Now, for some of the little things I'm doing to get a little cash:
I can say that Clixsense is good, upgrade and by the next month, you'll have enough to at least pay back what you put into it. As a quick side to this, my first check from Clixsense is sitting right in front of me right NOW.
Another one, if you are into the PPC (Pay-per-click) is Start Working At Home. It has a guild of all the PPC programs they are with.
A little one, that's quite fun and their forum is has a lot of great people in it is Project Payday.
They'll teach you how you can make a little bit of money by trying free offers! The only thing I can say about this is, YES, I have made money here. Not a lot, but more than I had to start with. Another thing, if you join Project Payday, DO go to the forum and read all the info there, it will help you NOT get frustrated.
One that's free to join is Take The Internet Back. It's easy and its free.
As time goes by, I'll report on how I'm doing and what I've learned NOT to do. Why should you have to make the same mistakes! lol
There's more, of course, but I'll add them later. If you have any comments or any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Heat and Power Outages.
This has just not been my week! Three times this week, we have lost power. And with temperatures over 100 degrees, this is like, UGH. Twice has been during the day, when, of course, its the hottest, around 109-114 degrees out. We just has the last one about an hour ago...middle of the night, wonderful (not)!
I wish I could afford to have a totally solar powered house. Here in Arizona, it makes sense. We seem to have nothing BUT sun! LOL
Seriously, though, I'm really fed up with this. It really doesn't help my diabetes either! I've found that heat can help give me a low sugar! Besides, who likes to sweat?
I've found 4 herbs/plants that help with diabetes:
For cinnamon, have some toast with it sprinkled on, it helps regulate your sugar.
A dash of Cayenne Pepper in eggs, or spaghetti sauce will help your sugars stay level.
Anyway, this is just a quick update, I'll get to what I actually DO online soon! Promise.

Diabetics Unite!
I know, I know what a title, eh? Well, I'm an insulin-dependant diabetic and I think that there have been medical breakthroughs but the drug companies are NOT telling us about them. Why, do you ask? Because if there were a cure, they'd lose money!
I'll tell you a little about myself and my medical history. My mom was a Type 1 diabetic also. From all the information we could get from the family, it only seems to happen to the females of my mom's family. Great, just great. I can tell you from personal experience that stress can help CAUSE diabetes.
Now let's go to sugar levels. I know that when I'm stressed, my sugar levels go through the roof. All I can think of is that the adrenilin shoots to combat stress, which makes my cells release sugar to help compensate. Then of course, I get MORE stressed because my sugar is high! LOL...a never ending struggle.
Type 2 diabetes is a little different. Most people that have it, don't know it. At least for them, they can control it with diet and exercise. And maybe a few pills. That is a lot easier to take than having to take shots every day. Type 2 diabeties is the fastest growing in the US, mainly I think, because we are a "fast food" country now. How do we stop it? Well, I think that we need to learn how to make good "fast food" at home. That way, we KNOW what's in it and we can control the amount of sugar and carbs.
I also have some recipes for us diabetics, so if you are interested, let me know and I'll post them!
Anyway, for the nonce, that's it. Later, I'll talk about things I've done on line.
Until then, have a great day!
